Sired by the famous “Black Pearl” – Olympic Ferro, the Dutch sensation, who won team silver at the 1998 World Equestrian Games, 1999 European Championships and 2000 Olympic Games under Copy van Baalen of the Netherlands. This pair’s greatest achievement came when they placed second in the World Cup Finals in ‘s Hertogenbosch scoring over 80% for their freestyle.
As a three-year-old, he was champion of his performance test at Ermelo, where he achieved the outstanding results of 6.5–walk, 8.5–trot and 8.5 canter. He was later given the Keur and the rare Preferent titles by the KWPN breeding committee.
His sire Ulft, a son of the great Le Mexico, produced many licensed sons and several international dressage horses. Le Mexico carries Furioso xx blood, which brings value to any pedigree. Ferro’s dam, Brenda, is a daughter of the Holsteiner, Farn, who is legendary in jumper breeding. Farn’s son Nimmerdor, is one of the most well-known Dutch sport horse sires having been named the KWPN Stallion of the Century.
Dam sire Oskar II (*Pg*) was born at the famous Kirow Stud Farm in Russia. His pedigree combines the top sport horse blood lines with a touch of Arabian blood, to add excellent type and an exotic appearance. Oskar’s sire, Khokkey, is a well known producer of over forty offspring, that have reached Grand Prix level, such as Chochol, Russian champion in dressage 1990; Saporoshez, Russian champion in dressage 1993; Podkhod, who was ranked as one of the worlds best dressage horses. With his rider Elena Sidneva he has won many ribbons in the Worldcup, Arlekin, Perechlest Grand Prix dressage horses; Eskis, Russian champion in jumping 1990 and 1993, Almox Prints J, he is one of the most successful stallions in international show jumping.
Oskar’s dam line carries the best and most successful jumping lines available in Russia, including Champion jumping stallion Ossian and his grandson Blesk, also USSR Champion in Jumping! Among the others Blesk sired Russian Dance ex Tabor, Quixotte Priboy ex Priboj, Velbot and well known stallion Biotop, International dressage champion under saddle of R. Klimke.
Oskar has outstanding movement, nearly perfect Piaffe and passage, and has himself successfully competed at Grand Prix level under rider and trainer Hokan Thorn. (From Aqua Farms).
