Deja Blue spent 2008 on the “A” Jumper circuit with Erin Davis and October Hill Farm. Per his trainers, Blue has exceptional rideability and an excellent temperament (which he passes on to his foals). The season was extremely successful with performance at Levels 4 and 5 and the 5 yo Young Jumper Qualifying classes. Blue finished 2008 with 4th place in the USEF Horse of the Year, Zone 7: 5 year old Young Jumpers. After completing the 30 day test, he fulfilled his performance requirements and became permanently licensed with RPSI. In 2009, Blue’s vision was severly dimished due to a serious bacterial infection. He was retired from his promising performance career and returned to Rising Star Farm to stand at stud.
