E.H. Consul, the sire of Onassis, is one of the most important sires in modern Trakehner breeding. He also had a significant influence on Oldenburg and Hanoverian breeding as well. Consul produced numerous stallion sons and both exceptional dressage and jumping progeny.
Dam Bala is by Tron, one of six approved sons in the US and Germany by Mozart. Reserve Champion of the 1975 Neumünster approvals, Mozart was notable for exceptional gaits. Bala was owned by an Amateur on the East Coast and competed in the Hunters and Fox-Hunted before an injury retired her to broodmare duties. An important part of the Rising Star Farm breeding program, Bala has produced three foals for us, Bellessima being the first.
Bellessima has been included in the Rising Star Farm broodmare band, despite her obvious talent as a hunter. She possesses extremely valuable sport horse bloodlines. Additionally, she has a sweet temperament and good looks that we hope she passes on to her offspring.
